SWAIM YADKINVILLE - Mrs. Ethel Hoots Swaim, 86, passed away Sunday, January 25, 2009 at Willowbrook Healthcare Center. She was born July 1, 1922 in Yadkin County to the late Ferdinand "F.K." and Naomi Groce Hoots. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters; and six brothers. Surviving are her husband of 68 years, Paul Howard Swaim, Sr. [married July 26, 1940]; sons, Paul H. (Kathryn) Swaim, Jr., and Ronnie Lee (Brenda) Swaim; grandchildren, Jeffrey (Ladale) Swaim, Gina (David) Adams, David Swaim, Patrick (Shannon) Swaim; great-grandchildren, Megan Swaim, Kristen Adams, Kyle Adams, Haley Swaim, Andrew Swaim, Seth Swaim, and Hope Swaim; brother, Grady Hoots; several nieces, nephews, and in-laws. Her Funeral Service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, January 27, at Gentry Family Chapel in Jonesville by the Rev. Benny Adams. Burial will follow at Swaims Baptist Church Cemetery.
