He also served in the Revolutionary War in 1777 in Captain Phillip Miner's company and Colonel McCobb's Regiment (from the town of Waldoboro). He was the husband of Catherine Feyler (1787-1872). They were married on 30 Dec 1804 in Waldoboro, Lincoln, Maine. They parented 8 children: Louisa Catherine Simmons (Grave Memorial# 35765262), Thomas Jefferson Simmons (Grave Memorial# 48894058), John Adams Simmons, Susan Farley Simmons (Grave Memorial# 48894065), Joseph Warren Simmons (Grave Memorial# 48894069), William A Simmons (Grave Memorial# 48894056){30 May 1822 Waldoboro, Lincoln, Maine - 30 June 1882 Waldoboro, Lincoln, Maine. He married Margaret Labe on 20 Nov 1849}, Daniel Webster Simmons (Grave Memorial# 71063841), and Caroline F Simmons (Memorial# 48893977).
He is also a direct descendant of Moses Simmons (Moyses Symonson), who came over to America on the good ship FORTUNE in 1621.
