Pacolet, SC - J. A. Harvey died at his home near Pacolet, SC on Wednesday night, Nov. 10, 1937, following a lengthy illness. Husband of Janie Johnson Harvey. Survivors included: five daughters, Mrs. A. D. McBride of Jonesville, SC, Mrs. Mattie Loftis of Pacolet, SC, Mrs. Joe Weathers of Glenn Springs, SC, Mrs. Frank Weathers of Pacolet, SC, Mrs. Vernon Kirby, of Pacolet, SC; four sons, Rev. B. H. Harvey, of Anderson, SC, H. M. Harvey, of Spartanburg, SC, W. L. Harvey, of Pacolet, SC, and Robert Harvey, of Pacolet; 54 grandchildren and 37 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchildren. He was 86 years of age at his demise and interment was in the Pacolet Station Baptist Church Cemetery. (Original obituary was rewritten to conform to Findagrave Rules by Record Hunter.)
