Pacolet Station, SC - Mrs. Janie Harvey died at her home early yesterday morning, June 30, 1941, at her residence following a brief illness. Native of Polk County, NC, she had lived in Spartanburg County, SC most of her life and was a member of Pacolet Methodist Church. Wife of John Asbury Harvey. Survivors included the following children: Mrs. Maggie McBryde of Jonesville, SC, Mrs. Mattie Loftis of Pacolet, SC, Mrs. Samantha Weathers of Glenn Springs, SC, Mrs. Fannie Weathers of Pacolet, SC, Mrs. Hettie Kirby of Pacolet, SC, the Rev. B. H. Harvey of of Greenwood SC, R. A. Harvey of Pauline, SC, W. L. Harvey of Pacolet, SC; 53 grandchildren and 44 great-grandchildren. She was 83 years of age at her demise and interment was in the Pacolet Station Baptist Church Cemetery. (Original obituary was rewritten to conform to Findagrave Rules by Record Hunter.)
