Wellford, SC - J. C. Harvey died on Sunday, July 10, 1955 at Wellford, SC following a lengthy illness. He was a member of Jackson Mills Methodist Church. He was a retired farmer and lived in the Mt. Zion Community here for the past 35 years. Survivors included: his wife, Mrs. Carrie Cathcart Harvey of Wellford, SC; four daughters, Mrs. W. L. Edge of Wellford, SC, Mrs. N. B. Simmons of Fairforest, SC, Mrs. H. A. Blanton of Spartanburg, SC and Mrs. J. E. Mitchell of Columbia, SC; one sister, Mrs. W. F. Cathcart of Whitmore, SC; four sons, W. E. Harvey of Duncan, SC, W. W. Harvey and A. E. Harvey of Spartanburg, SC, and F. C. Harvey of Wellford, SC; 25 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
