SPARTANBURG, SC-- Pauline Harvey Blanton, 87, of 141 Johnson Road, North Wilkesboro, NC, formerly of Spartanburg passed away on Thursday, December 14, 2006 at Hoots Memorial Hospital, Yadkinville, NC after a brief illness.
Born in Spartanburg, SC on Friday, September 12, 1919, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Carrie Jean (Cathcart) Harvey. She retired from Borden Corp in Spartanburg, was the widow of Homer A. Blanton and a member of Valley Falls Baptist Church.
She is survived by one daughter, Brenda Thompson of North Wilkesboro, NC; two sisters, Lola Edge of Spartanburg; Lucille Mitchell of Inman. She is also survived by three grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at Valley Falls Baptist Church at 2:30 PM on Sunday, December 17, 2006 with Rev. John Lancaster officiating.
Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Inman, SC.
The family is at the home of her sister, Lucille, 510 Hickory Nut Road, Inman and will receive friends on Saturday from 12:00-3:00 PM at her home and Sunday from 2:00-2:30 PM at Valley Falls Baptist Church.
