Mrs. Mildred Rimmer Crowder, age 87 of 4912 NC Hwy. 57 N., died Wednesday evening, February 17, 2010 at Durham Regional Hospital. Mrs. Crowder was a native of Person County, daughter of the late John Henry & Mary Walters Rimmer and wife of the late Allie Bennett Crowder, in addition to her parents and her husband she was preceeded in death by her brothers Felix Rimmer, Samuel Rimmer, Eddie Rimmer, Preston Rimmer, Raymond Rimmer, Clayborn Rimmer and Howard Rimmer, Mrs. Crowder was retired from the Pittsylvania County & Person County School food service and was a member of Semora Baptist Church.
Survivng are two daughters Ann C. Murray and husband Billy of Alton, Va. and Joan C. Slade and husband Joe of Blanch, NC, three sisters Mattie R. Wilson of Florence, SC, Louise R. Sheppard fo Hurdle Mills, NC, Mary Frances R. Andrews Of Hillbrough NC, two grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

The Family will receive friends Saturday evening, February 20,2010 from 6:00 PM til 8:00 PM at Brooks & White Funeral Home and at other times at the home.

Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, February 21, 2010 at Brooks & White Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in the Floral Hills Memory Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Dr. Steve Long, Brad Scott, Heath Slade, Mike Andrews, Henry Fleetwood, John Fleetwood, Ricky Solomon & Butch Blackard.
