Mary Grace arrived in the United States with her parents and siblings. From family oral history we know there was a cholera outbreak on the ship and Mary was very sick. From oral history we know the family arrived in New Orleans and traveled up the Mississippi River to St. Louis.

If our research is correct the family arrived 12 June 1842 on the ship Oakland.

We don't know where in Ireland this family migrated. From research we see Queens, Ireland and we also see Kilkenny, Ireland. That part of our family history is lost at this time.

Mary married William F McCrea, another Irish immigrant. And they raised a family of seven children.

A strong Catholic Irish family ~ we are proud to be their great grandchildren.
