Mary Kohl, 81, of Keansburg, died Thursday, Aug. 21, at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. She was a receptionist for Feminique Beauty Salon & Marc N. Cooper, DDS, Middletown, for 25 years. She was born Sept. 6, 1926, in New York City and lived in West New York before moving to Keansburg in 1967. She was a member of the adult choir, Rosarian and member of the Executive Board Committee at St. Catherine's church. She was a camp counselor in upstate New York, a lifeguard at various pool clubs and an Amway distributor.
She was predeceased by her husband, Walter Kohl, on Aug. 21, 2003. Surviving are a daughter, Lisa Margaret Kohl of Keansburg; a son, Christopher Peter Kohl of Wilmington, Del; a sister and brother-in-law, Grace and Michael Petrotto of North Bergen; and a nephew and his wife, Mark and Denise Petrotto of North Bergen. The family would like to thank Riverview Medical Center and specially 3 South, Respiratory Therapy and all of her doctors for treating Mary Kohl with class and elegance, our heartfelt thanks with love and smiles.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at John J. Pfleger Funeral Home, 115 Tridall Road, Middletown. Funeral services are scheduled for 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Catherine's church, Bray Avenue, Middletown. Burial will be at Madonna Cemetery, Fort Lee.
