Henry served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II, enlisting on July 3rd of 1943 at Kalamazoo, Michigan, and being discharged on March 19th of 1944 at Camp San Luis Obispo, California. He had been a Technician Grade IV in company A, the 60th Engineer battalion.
Two years after leaving the Army, Henry married Gladys Klein. They later raised Glady's niece Agnes Ellen Tulley around the age of 8 in 1952 after her parents death.
Parents of Agnes are John Oldean Tulley and Pearl Olive Hale Tulley.
Agnes later married Tim Sipress.

Henry retired from Penn Controls at Goshen and moved to Milford but remained a member of the Eighth Street Mennonite church back in Goshen. He passed away Wednesday, May 12th, while at Goshen general hospital. He was 76 years, 2 months and 21 days old.
