Mrs. Mary Catherine Knox, 68 years old, died April 25, 1926 at the family home Saturday in Oklahoma City. Funeral services were conducted by the Rev. Lincold McConnell. Mary was buried in the Rose Hill Cemetery.

Mary was survived by three daughters, Elizabeth "Lizzie" Knox-Mrs. E.A. Liebman, Oklahoma City; Pearl Jane Knox-Mrs. Mathew Kennedy, El Reno, and Ora May Knox-Mrs. A.L. Robertson, El Reno; two sons, James Knox, El Reno, and John Knox, Kansas City. One son, Henry Knox of Hugo, OK was deceased.

Mary Catherine Kuhler was the first of 15 children born to William Kuher SR., and Mary Elizabeth Kuhlerin in the United States. Her father, William Kuhler, Sr., was born in the Westphalia Region of old Prussia in 1834. He immigrated to the United States's in 1855 and settled in Clayton County, Iowa, then Nebraska City, Nebraska and then in 1890 moved his family to Chariton County, Missouri where he farmed and raised his 15 children to adulthood.

Mary's mother, Mary Elizabeth Henneck-Kuhler was born in Franklin, OH. She married William Kuhler Sr., February 15, 1857 in Clayton County, Iowa. They parented 15 children in Nebraska City, Nebraska and Chariton County,Missiouri and enjoyed a marriage of 60 years.

Mary's father, William Kuhler died in 1917 and was buried in the Maple Grove Cemetery, Oregon, Missouri.

Mary's mother, Elizabeth Kuhler died in 1921 and was buried in the Gordon Cemetery, Gordon, Nebraska.
