Kate TELFORD was born near Cartter, IL in 1862, the 6th of 9 children of Samuel G TELFORD & Mary (BALDRIDGE) TELFORD.

Kate moved to Gentry County, MO and met Dr David Phillip RICHARDSON. They then married about 1892 and soon moved to Union City, Oklahoma where she was a homemaker her entire married life. David & Kate had one child together, son Ivin Glenwood RICHARDSON.

She was an active long-time member of the First Presbyterian Church in El Reno.

Kate enjoyed traveling -- she traveled with her son Ivin by ocean liner to Ireland in 1913, and she traveled to Japan to attend a Sunday School convention in 1920.

FUNERAL FOR DRS. WIFE TO BE TODAY

Mrs. D. P. Richardson Dies In City Hospital.

Services will be conducted at the El Reno Baptist Church at 3 p.m, Sunday for Mrs. D. P. Richardson, 75 year old pioneer Union City resident, who died Saturday in a city hospital following an abdominal operation. Burial will be in the El Reno cemetery.

A Union City resident for 43 years, Mrs. Richardson was born in Illinois, later moving to Northwest Mo. where she was married in 1892. Two years later she and her husband, Dr. D. P. Richardson, a Union City physician moved to Oklahoma and established their home in Union City.

Besides her husband, Mrs. Richardson is survived by a son, Ivan G. Richardson, New York City; a sister, Mrs. Eva G. McClurken, Lowell, Ark. and two brothers. George B.Telford, Manhattan, Kan. and Arthur Telford, Kell, Ill.
