Mamie Lowe, age 90, a longtime resident of Hobart, IN passed away on Monday, November 16, 2009.
She was born on August 2, 1919 in Kouts, Indiana the daughter of Hazen and Ella Cannon.
She was a graduate of Kouts High School and then was married to John C. Lowe in Kouts, IN in 1946. Mamie enjoyed shopping, reading, flowers, and playing cards. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister and a friend to all. Mamie is survived by her loving family; son, Bob (Rita) Lowe, Carmichael, CA; grandchildren, Michael Anthony Lowe, and Marva Jo Lowe; sisters, Bonnie Cambe, Lake Station, IN, and Carol Huffer, Columbus, IN and other loving family and dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John Lowe; sisters, Margaret Graham and Dorothy Cannon, and brother, Donald Cannon, Bryce Cannon, and Hazen Cannon, Jr.
A visitation for Mamie Lowe will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Monday, November 23, 2009 at Rees Funeral Home – Hobart Chapel, 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart, IN followed immediately by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend A.G. McKinley, officiating.
