Obituary Chattanooga Times, Feb. 5, 1978, P. A16: HITCHCOCK,Austin, age 66, of
Dunlap, Tenn., died unexpectedly Friday, Feb. 3, 1978, at Sequatchie General
Hospital. Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Easter Ewton Hitchcock; one daughter, Mrs
Rex (Patsy) Holland; one son, Ronnie Hitchcock; three grandchildren; his mother,
Mrs. Cager Hitchcock; three sisters, Mrs. Tess Dishman, Mrs. Jesse Holland, and Mrs.
Arnold Turner; one brother, Bill Hitchcock, all of Dunlap; a foster brother, Stanton
Hitchcock, Chattanooga, Mr. Hitchcock was a member of Community Chosen Church of
God, where funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., CST, Sunday, with Rev. Herbert
Chancey officiating. Interment in Collier Cemetery. The body is at
Putnam-Sstandefer Funeral Home, Dunlap, Tenn.
