WILLIAM (Bill) Walker, 78, of Routh 4, Pikeville, passed away at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Lucille Walker Burgess, on Route 5, Crossville, Saturday morning.
Funeral services were held Monday morning at the Winesap Freewill Baptist church with Rev. Eston Shrum officiating. Interment followed in the Ben Smith Cemetery. Putnam Funeral Home of Pikeville in charge of arrangements.
In addition to Mrs. Burgess, Mr. Walker leaves four other daughters, and two sons; Mrs. Opal Douglas of Dayton Tenn; Mrs Pearl Anderson of California; Mrs Lizzie Smith of Pikeville Tenn. Mrs Idell Mears of Georgia, Bertie Walker of Crossville Tenn, and Guy Walker of Clevland Ohio. Three sisters and two brothers, Mrs Lillie Davis, Mrs Lavada Smith of Crossville, Mrs Alice Shelton of Livingston; Tom Walker and Harve Lewis of Pikeville Tenn.
