George Baker, aged 75, of Union County, died after an illness of some time, during which he had suffered strokes of paralysis. The funeral was held at Spring Hill, of which section Mr. Baker was a native, conducted by Rev. J.C. Meiggs and Rev. H.P. Bennett. He is survived by his second wife and 12 children, all grown. His children are: Mrs. Rebecca Rape, Mrs. Minnie Plyler, Mrs. Lilly Funderburk, Mrs. Lula Rape, and Misses Myrtle and Vade Baker; Messrs. D.W. Baker, L.W. Baker, R.B. Baker, D.A. Baker, F.C. Baker and D.S. Baker.
