Funeral for Martha Looney Turrentine, 75, of Vinemont will be today, Sept. 28, 2007, at 2 p.m. at Andrews Chapel Church with the Rev. Thomas Reeves, the Rev. Homer Jones and the Rev. Roger Aldridge officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. The body will be at the church one hour prior to the service.
Burial will be in Andrews Chapel Cemetery.
Mrs. Turrentine, who died Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2007, at Carraway Methodist Medical Center, was born Nov. 26, 1931, in Lawrence County to Floyd Looney and Edna Ledlow Looney. She was a member of Pleasant View Holy Church of Christ. Her husband, Coy C. Turrentine, preceded her in death.
Survivors include two sons, Conrad Turrentine and wife, Elizabeth, and Donnie Turrentine and wife, Tracey, both of Vinemont; daughter, Clara Asherbranner and husband, Willard, of Falkville; three sisters, Lorene Holladay of Danville, Margie Button of Decatur and Athlee Dover of Laverne, Tenn.; three granddaughters, Amy Asherbranner of Falk-ville, and Chrissy Turrentine and Natasha McClellan, both of Vinemont; one great-granddaughter, Carly McClellan of Vinemont; and one stepgrandson, Chris England of Vinemont.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
