Actor. Best known for his television series roles of "The Lone Ranger" (1952 to 1954) succeeding Clayton Moore, and as Nat 'Hawkeye' Cutler in "Hawkeye and the Last of the Mohicans" (1957). Raised in San Marino, he began his acting career appearing in productions at the Pasadena Playhouse. This would lead to a contract with Paramount Pictures. From the late-1930's until the 1970's, Hart appeared in more than one hundred motion pictures usually in bit parts with the exception of a starring role in the 1947 picture "Jack Armstrong." From the late-1940's until the early-1980's in addition to his small screen starring roles, Hart became a familiar presence on television. He would appear on such programs as "I Love Lucy," "Bat Masterson," "Leave It To Beaver," "Rawhide," "Dallas," "Happy Days" and many others.
