Passed away suddenly on May 11, 2009 in Jacksonville,
Florida. He is survived by Terry, devoted wife of 23 years, achildren, Joseph Jr. Pamela McKinzie, Michelle Brown, Mellisa Santiago, 2 stepsons, Richard and Kenneth Murphy, 18 grand children and 1 great grandchild. Joe, retired from the Navy, September 1991, after 27 years of proud and faithful service as an Aviator Boatswain's Mate (AB) Chief, and become a project inspector for the Jacksonville Airport Authority, where he retired in 2005. He was the president of the Jacksonville " AB " Association Chapter for 8 years and has a large extended family. Visitation will be 7-9 pm, Wednesday, March 18, 2009,. Funeral Service, 11 Am, Thursday, March 19, 2009. Joe will recieved full military honors for recognition of the many years he dedicated to serving our country. Reception will follow at the American Legion Hall, Post 316, Atlantic Blvd., Atlantic Beach , Florida. Arrangements entrusted to Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home. Chapel Memory Gardens.
