Mrs. Pearl Gaskins Bazemore, 88, died Saturday (Jan. 27, 2001) at Satilla Regional Medical Center after a short illness. She is a native of Atkinson County but has lived most of her life in Waycross. She was a homemaker and a member of the Jamestown Baptist Church. She was the daughter of the late Fisher Gaskins and Janie Wall Gaskins. She was the wife of the late James Bazemore. She is survived by her daughter, June Carole Bazemore Driggers of Kingsland; son, William F. Herrins, Sr. of Waycross; sister, Lillie Gillis of Waycross; four grandchildren, Gaye Driggers Kanitsch of Lawrenceville, Michael Driggers of Palm Harbor, Fla., William F. Herrin, Jr. of Brunswick, and Katherine Herrin Flynn of Hales Corner, Wis.; two great grandchildren, Kristen Leigh Kanitsch and Kaitlyn Nichole Kanitsch. A graveside service will be conducted 3 p.m. Sunday (Jan. 28, 2001) at Oakland Cemetery
