FALLING IN ROAD MR. CARTER DIED
John Carter, an old and prominent citizen of North Buncombe, fell while walking in front of James Maney's home near Barnardsville Sunday morning and was expiring from heart failure when Mr. Maney's family reached him, death soon following.
Mr. Carter, who was eighty years of age, had intended to walk to Barnardsville from his home on Pink Fork and then ride into Asheville and had reached the Many house when he fell and struck hos head against a rock.
