It is my goal to photograph and record all cemeteries in Barnardsville, Buncombe County, North Carolina. Most of these cemeteries contain my husband's kinfolk. What I've noticed while doing family research on my husband's line is that about everyone from Barnardsville in one way or another is kin to my husband. That's made it very interesting and on going. Or should I say on and on and on going! Oh well, that's what family roots is all about.....adding more and more people to your family tree. :)
I've been researching my husband/my line for about 10 or so years now. It's so thrilling to connect someone to my husband's/my family tree. But what makes it really exciting is finding pictures to add to my research....Be it of the person or their tombstone. The pictures are like evidence proving they did/do exist! And there's no doubt about the info. you collected when it matches up with the info. you've found on the their tombstones (birth/death dates). Sometimes grave markers provide genealogical information not found in other sources!
