Anna was committed to the State Hospital for the Insane in Norfolk Nebraska sometime in early 1906 (17 years old), reportedly after chasing her mother with a butcher knife. Anna's older brother Frank was also committed to the State Hospital in the fall of 1906. The rumor was that Frank became extremely distraught following the rejection of a young woman whom he loved. Frank committed suicide on December 24, 1906 in the State Hospital, while his younger sister Anna lived the remainder of her life in the State Hospital until her death in 1955. For Anna Svoboda

Funeral Services will be held Thursday morning for Miss Anna Svoboda, 66.

She died Monday at Norfolk, where she had been a resident since 1906.

The funeral service will be held at 8:45 a.m. at the Keating Mortuary and at 9 a.m. at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in St. Paul. The rosary was recited Wednesday evening at eight o'clock.

Miss Svoboda was born at St. Paul to Frank and Kathrine Svoboda. She is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Anita Lowman of Seattle, Wash., and Mrs. Mary Boyd of Los Angeles, Calif., and a brother Joseph Svoboda of St. Paul.
