Richard was the ninth child and the seventh son born to ten children to. Philip Findley McQuillan and Gladys Blanche Nichols.

Richard worked for the State of California as a Civil Engineer. He was hit by a train while at work in San Francisco, California and died of multiple traumatic injuries. Richard is survived by his wife of 12 Years, Erika Anna McQuillan and his children, Steven Michael McQuillan and Anna Elizabeth McQuillan.

Richard was brother to:

Philip Findley McQuillan Jr. born February 03, 1906.

William Kendrick McQuillan, born December 30, 1907.

Thomas Paterson McQuillan, born April 05, 1907.

Sister to Helen Francis McQuillan, born May 29, 1910.

John Nichols McQuillan, born February 04, 1912.

James Edward McQuillan, born April 02, 1913.

Paul Frederick McQuillan, born July 04, 1914.

Sister to Mary Adeline McQuillan, born April 27, 1918.

Robert Mark McQuillan born May 05, 1926.


Richard served our country as a Merchant Marine during World War Two.
