Ettie Purdy Harvey, 90, of Amarillo died Wednesday, June 6, 2007.
Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. today in North Amarillo Church of Christ with Glenn Walton, minister, officiating.
Ettie Purdy Harvey, 90, of Amarillo was called home on June 6, 2007, at Plum Creek Healthcare Center. She was born Oct. 17, 1916, in Love County, Okla., and was the oldest of three children. She attended schools in Gasoline and Quitaque.
Ettie was a licensed vocational nurse and worked at various nursing homes until her retirement in 1979. She was married to Howard Harvey for 25 years and gave birth to seven children. She was a member of North Amarillo Church of Christ. Her biggest enjoyment during her later years was gardening, sewing, embroidering and quilting.
Survivors she leaves behind include five children, Mary Jo Sechrist, Sonny Harvey, Raymond Harvey, Pill Harvey and Sue Potts; 20 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials be to the Alzheimer's Association, 1400 Wallace Blvd., Amarillo, TX 79106.
The family will be at 2909 S. Browning St.
