Bob Ward Dies at 68


"Bob Ward, 68, of 218 Walnut, died Saturday in a local hospital following a long illness. Born Dec.15, 1901. in Loco, he had been a Duncan area resident and car salesman most of his life. He was a member of the Immanuel Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Bessie, of the home, and four brothers, John, Corpus Christi, Tex.; Chandler, 315 Ash; Clyde, Velma, and Snow, of the home. Service will be Monday 2:30 p.m. in the Carter Funeral Home Chapel of the Roses with the Rev. Maynard Campbell, pastor of the Duncan Rescue Mission, officiating.

Burial will be in the Duncan Cemetery. Bearers will be Bob Crow, Pete Dare, Byron Nixon, Jackie Stephenson, C. D. Kirk, G. G. Lloyd and J. L. Woolsey. Honorary bearers will be Obie Kinslow, Ted and Asa Elliott,

Carl Ray, Doc Cooper and George Crotts."
