Mrs. Cooke was born Aug. 28, 1933, in Scotland County, a daughter of the late Robert B. and Maggie Scott Peele. She was a former CNA with Hospice of Scotland County. A member of Northview Harvest Ministries, she served as prayer counselor and on the Women's Ministries of the church. Her son, Robert Edward Jordan Jr., preceded her in death.
