Nancy (Cook) Caruthers was the wife of Rev. Dr. Richard Alexander Caruthers. They were married Armstrong Co., Pennsylvania February 11, 1840. They had nine children. Nancy joined the Methodist Episcopal Church in 1842. Rev. Dr. Caruthers was a minister in the Erie Conference/Kansas Conference and North West Kansas Conference of the Methodist Episcopal Church. He died May 21, 1889. She died Bristow, Kansas.
