FUNERAL TODAY OF MRS. [sic Miss] ELLEN CALLAWAY

Miss Ellen Callaway, the sister of Judge E. H. Callaway, of this city, died at a local hospital Wednesday morning.
She has resided in Augusta for the past 27 years. She was born at the Callaway family home in Wilkes Co., GA, and was the daughter of Rev. B. M. Callaway, D.D., and Lucy B. Howard. She came to Augusta when Judge Callaway's wife died, to take charge of his home and look after his children, and has acquired a large circle of friends in this city. She was a member of the First Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be held at the residence, 1149 Monte Sano Avenue, Thursday morning at 10:30 a.m. After the funeral services are concluded, the remains will be carried through the country to her former home in Wilkes Co., where the burial will take place in the Callaway family burial ground.
She leaves surviving her three brothers, E. H. Callaway, of Augusta; E. A. Callaway, of Wilkes County; and B. M. Callaway, of Atlanta, and a number of nephews and nieces among whom are Mrs. O. C. Lee, Mrs. Kenneth Merry, and Brantly Callaway, of Augusta, and others residing in Atlanta, Clarkesville and Wilkes Co., GA.
The following will act as pallbearers at the residence: J. C. C. Black, Pierce Merry, G. R. Coffin, Lansing B. Lee, J. S. Bussey, and Eugene M. Fuller.

Miss Ellen Callaway, daughter of the late Rev. and Mrs. B. M. Callaway of Wilkes Co., passed away at a local hospital in Augusta Wednesday morning.
She has resided in Augusta for the past 27 years at the home of her brother, Judge E. H. Callaway and had acquired a large circle of friends in that city. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Augusta. she was born in the Callaway home in Wilkes county and the news of her death was received with sorrow by her many friends here.
Funeral services were held at the residence of her brother, Judge Callaway in Augusta, Thursday morning at 10:30 o'clock. The pallbearers at the residence were: J. C. C. Black, Pierce Merry, G. R. Coffin, Lansing B. Lee, J. S. Bussey and Eugene M. Fuller.
After the funeral services were concluded, the remains were brought here for burial which took place in the Callaway family cemetery near Sardis.
She is survived by three brothers, E. H. Callaway, of Augusta; E. A. Callaway, of Wilkes county; B. M. Callaway, of Augusta. Also a number of nephews and nieces among whom are Mrs. O. C. Lee, Mrs. Kenneth Merry and Brantley Callaway, of Augusta, and others residing in Atlanta, Clarkesville and Wilkes county.
