Spartanburg Hearld Obituary, Oct. 23, 1944, page 6. Campobello - Mrs. EMMA HORTON BRADLEY, 77, widow of THOMAS CALLAWAY BRADLEY and resident of the Holly Springs Baptist Church, Campobello Route 2, died at 11 o'clock Saturday night at a Spartanburg hospital, following an illness of three days. Mrs. BRADLEY was born and reared in North Carolina, but had been a resident of Holly Springs community for 20 years. She was a member of the Mountain View Baptist Church. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. LELA THOMPSON of Campobello Route 2; six sons, MEMORY W., WILLIAM THOMAS "TOM" and FRANK CALVIN BRADLEY all of Campobello Route 2, OSCAR BRADLEY of Asheville, ROY BRADLEY of Rutherfordton, NC, and MACK BRADLEY of Gastonia, NC. She was the last member of her immediate family. Also surviving are 31 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Monday afternoon at 4 o'clock at the Holly Springs Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. WALTER HARRISON. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The following men are requested to meet at the home of WILLIAM THOMAS BRADLEY at 3:30 o'clock and serve as active pallbearers: ELBERT MORROW, OTT SEAY, D. H. CLAYTON, ELFORD, HOLLIS BOWERS, and BEN STRICKLAND. The body is at the home of her son, WILLIAM THOMAS BRADLEY on Campobello Route 2.
