Hansel Vause, 77, a retired police officer, died Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2002, in Tallahassee.
He is survived by his wife, Edna Woodard Vause. The service will be at 1 p.m. EST Saturday at First Baptist Church in Havana, with burial at Arran Cemetery in Arran.
He was a Navy veteran.
He retired from the Tallahassee Police Department after 31 years of service and from the Capitol Police after 16 years.

Other survivors include two daughters, Sonya Coley and Cathy Munroe ; two brothers, Johnnie Vause and Roderick Vause; two sisters, Sadie Butler and Ann Moulton; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
