PETER HOLLINGWORTH Peter "Pete" Hollingworth, 64, passed away suddenly of heart failure, at his home, May 3, 2009. He was born Nov. 17, 1944, in Mansfield, England, and came to the U.S. in 1949, with his father and mother, Leslie Hollingworth and Millicent Burton. Pete grew up in Salt Lake City, and from 1965-1967, he proudly served in the U.S. Army 501st Admin. Company 3rd Armor Division, as a sergeant in outprocessing. He earned a bachelor's degree in behavioral science, a secondary teaching certificate in English. From 1973-1993, he received many awards for his management and salesmanship in auto sales. Pete opened and ran Utah's largest freeweight spa from 1984-1986. In 1993, he began his own hauling and demo company with his family until 2009. His passion was writing and music. He wrote five screen plays later in life, and his dream was to see one made into a movie. Pete enjoyed movies, staying informed on world news, piano, dancing, cycling, tennis and gambling. He worked hard to make a better life for his family. He prepared his family for life. He took great pride in everything he did. Pete will be loved and missed profoundly by his wife of 32 years, Nancy; son, Alex (30); daughter, Jennifer (28); and best friends, Ray and John. Services were previously held. "In loving memory of the best father, husband and friend anyone could ask for. May his spirit rest in peace. Pete will be missed eternally."
