FORT MILL -- Mrs. Joyce Hucks Osborne, 72, of 1547 Hensley Road died Monday, May 5, 2008, at her home.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Higher Ground Church, with the Rev. Steve Jacks officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Born in Charlotte, N.C., Mrs. Osborne was a daughter of the late Fred Hucks and the late Verla Allen Hucks Talley. She retired from Package Products after 25 years of service. She was a member of Higher Ground Church. She was also a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who loved her family very much.

Surviving are her husband, Buddy Osborne of the home; two sons, Freddie Osborne and his wife, Marlene and Eddie Stines; one brother, Lee Hucks; four grandchildren, Jodi Mast and her husband, Windell, Katie Hudgins and her husband, Chad, Matthew Paterno and Kara Revell and her husband, Jared; four great-grandchildren; a daughter-in-law, Gee Hudgins and her husband Ray; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. today at Higher Ground Church and at other times at the home of her son, Freddie, 1881 Brairwood Circle, Fort Mill, S.C.
