Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, Patricia Elton Runnells, 78, a homemaker, of Las Vegas, passed away April 17, 2009. She was born June 25, 1930, in Dividend, Utah, and was a seven-year resident of Nevada. Before moving to Las Vegas, she resident of Hawaii for 40 years. Patricia was adored by her family and they adored her as well. Her life's passion was genealogy, she authored seven family histories so her descendents will always appreciate their heritage. As a member of the LDS Church, she served in the Primary and as Relief Society President. Her hobbies included flower arranging and cooking. She was preceded in death by her father, Calvin William Elton; mother, Melpa (Nelson) Elton; and seven siblings. Patricia is survived by her husband, of 60 years, Loran H. Runnells; three sons, Randal, Brent and Tracy Runnells; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Viewing will be 6:30-8 p.m. Tuesday, April 21. Service will be at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 22, both at the Eastridge Ward LDS Chapel, 877 Temple View Drive, Las Vegas, NV 89110. Graveside service will follow at 3 p.m. (M.S.T.) at the Washington Utah Cemetery.
