OTILIA ORNELAS Otilia H. Ornelas, 86, beloved mother of five children, passed away April 8, 2009, in Las Vegas. Otilia was born in Shafter, Texas, March 19, 1923, and had resided in Las Vegas for the past 20 years.
Otilia is survived by her sons, Luis R. Hijar, Miguel R. Hijar and Robert P. Hijar; daughters, Josephine A. Hutcheson and Tillie O. Yepes; daughter-in-law, Maria Esther Hijar; sons-in-law, Anthony D. Yepes and Bill Hutcheson; nine grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; her brother, Oscar B. Holguin; nephews, Joseph Holguin and Arthur O. Saude; and nieces, Patricia Lucero, Sally Urbizo, Laura Vergara and Rima L. Roerish.
Visitation will be 2-3 p.m. Saturday, April 11, at Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd. Burial will follow at Palm Valley View Memorial Park, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.
