Lennie E. "Mariner" Sherrill, 75, 1551 McCarty St., Logansport, died Wednesday, at the Chase Convalescent Center. A retired city employe, he was born Aug. 21, 1902, in Watseka, Ill. His parents were William and Grace Sells Sherrill. He was married to Thelma McDougle, April 30, 1929, and she died Oct. 3, 1954.

Mr. Sherrill was a member of the Bethlehem Presbyterian Church, the Eagles Lodge and the Fraternal Order of Police.

There are survivors living in the Miami County area, along with four daughters: Helen Ross, Denton, Tex., Ruth Ann Collard, Kokomo, Dorothy Gibson and Rita Ayers, Logansport; three sons: Paul, Emerson and Ralph, all of Logansport; a brother, Robert, Logansport; 17 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Fisher Funeral Home, Logansport, with the Rev. Raymond Skelton officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery, Logansport.
