GEORGE PRILLAMAN MARRIED DICEY ROSS 05 JAN 1826 AND THEIR UNION PRODUCED 12 CHILDREN. BOTH GEORGE AND DICEY ARE BURIED IN THE FAMILY CEMETERY ON THE PROPERTY OF FLEMING W. PRILLAMAN NEAR THE PHILPOTT DAM AREA.

George was a farmer in Franklin County, Virginia.

Near the end of the Civil War, at the age of fifty nine, George enlisted in the Confederate Army. He enlisted on April 15, 1864, and was assigned to Company B, 57th Virginia Infantry (Franklin Sharpshooters), joining his five sons who were already serving. George survived the war, one of his sons died: First Lieutenant Christian Snidow Prillaman. (Christian died Dec 7, 1864.)

George's will is in Franklin County, Virginia Will Book 21, pg. 319, proved in court session on May 5, 1890. He left equal parts of his estate to his nine surviving children: (wife Dicey died in 1885)

6)......Caroline Malinda Prillaman Cannady France (b. May 29, 1841-Feb 6, 1917) married first John T. Cannaday, second Peter J. France
7)......Lydia Anne Prillaman Cannady (b. May 25, 1842-d. Jan 14, 1927, married Bailey Cannaday
