Personal Note:
Fred was my fireteam leader and friend. He arrived in Vietnam eight days before I did.
Because we were both from Texas, we became good friends right way. We both went to Boot Camp in July 1968.
We never met at San Diego,or at Camp Pendleton.
I have never forgotten him,or ever will. I remember and think about him just about everyday.
