Mary Redman Hemphill was the first wife of Brickley Corydon Hemphill. They were married 27 Feb 1873 in Hardin County, Ohio. Mary was born in the State of New York abt 1845, according to the 1880 Census. She died 13 May 1886 in Grant Center, Mecosta County, Michigan, and is buried in Grant Center Cemetery. Mary's mother-in-law, Melissa (Hukill) Hemphill, was also buried in the same cemetery. Also, there are Canaans in the same cemetery, who are related to the Hemphills.
There has been a road built, which divides the two sides of the Grant Center Cemetery. The Cemetery section on the North side of the road also has a United Methodist church next to it. It would be interesting to find out what church records might be available there.
