Marcella Wright Mills, 80, of Crosby Texas passed away Thursday, January 1, 2009 in Humble, Texas. She was born May 2, 1928 in Houston Texas to the late Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Wright. A resident of Crosby for 40 years she had worked in customer service for Southwestern Bell for 11 years, was a member of the Indian Shores Garden Club, The Friends of the Crosby Library, and the Baytown Racing Pigeon Club. Marcella was preceded in death by her husband Sam Jack Mills, son, Steven Lee Mills, and parents, Thomas and Minerva Wright. She is survived by her son Robert L. Mills of Crosby and numerous friends and relatives. A visitation will be held on Monday, January 5, 2008 from 3-7PM at Sterling-White Funeral Home, Highlands, TX. Burial in Huffman Cemetery is private and scheduled for a later date. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to The Friends of Crosby Library 135 Hare Rd. Crosby, TX 77532.
