Philomena 'Minnie' McClain, 87, formerly of 812 Church St., Hollidaysburg, died Tuesday. She was born in Altoona, to Guy D. & Carmel (Socci) Laratonda. She married Francis W. McClain Oct. 26, 1946, at Mount Carmel Catholic Church, Altoona and he died Sept. 29, 2001. Survived by sons: Patrick M. & wife, Deborah, Hollidaysburg; Dr. James B. & wife, Marie, Williamsport and Dr. Francis J. & wife, Anna, Hollidaysburg; daughters: Dr. Diane M. Bickel & husband, Thomas, Lewisburg and Bonita Ann Mazzei & husband, Frank, Hollidaysburg; brothers: Eugene Laratonda, Hollidaysburg and Joseph Laratonda, in California; grandchildren: Nathan F., Melissa C., Joshua F., Jacob M., Angela M., Matthew J., Kelly M., Michael J., Megan, Jordon T., Carmella, Lillyauna E., Rachel A., Ashley L., Patrick M. and Sierra N. She was predeceased by brother, James Laratonda. Mrs. McClain was a 1941 graduate of Altoona High School. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Hollidaysburg.
