Velma Jacobson 93, of Baytown, Texas went to be with the Lord on December 18, 2008. Velma was born on December 9, 1915 in Crockett, Texas to L.E. and Asnett (Stephens) Mabe. When Velma wasn't busy taking care of her family she enjoyed raising appaloosa horses, parakeets, Chihuahuas, working in her yard and most of all spending time with her family. Velma was a very kind and caring woman who will be missed by all that knew her.



Velma is preceded in death by her parents L.E and Asnett Mabe, loving husband Paul Jacobson, brothers Oscar, Edgar, Lonzie, Travis (Tex), Norman Bee, Edward, sisters; Dolly, Peggy, Lacy, Pauline and many other relatives and friends She is survived by her husband William Jack Blanks, loving niece Tinsy Cookie Vrana who took care of her with love and devotion during her illness. While for 61 years she took care of Cookie and she leaves behind several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends

A visitation for family and friends will be held Monday, December 22, 2008 from 5-8pm at Sterling-White Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2pm Tuesday, December 23, 2008 at Sterling-White Funeral Home with burial following at Sterling-White Cemetery.
