Eda was married to Harvey Napoleon Mashburn 14 Feb 1897 in Ozark, Missouri. Together they had a total of seven children. Three of there children Eda, Vernon, Annie and Irene along with Eda died in the flu epedemic winter of 1909-1910 At the time of burial Eda grave was only marked by a field stone with the name Mashburn carved on it.
Henry Sampson son of Eda always told there was never a head stone put on the gravesite. He says the sand stone was all his father Harvey could do at the time.
James Mashburn who is son of Henry Sampson and grandson of Harvey stated that as you enter the Cemetery through the gates Eda's gravesite along with the children are buried in the northern west corner close to the fence.
