Joann Baker Williams, 65, of Deer Park, Tx died, Monday, November 24, 2008 in Houston, after a brave fight with cancer.
She was born April 27, 1943 in Quitman, Mississippi to parents: Arthur Baker and Mildred Price Mason Baker She was a long time resident of Baytown where she graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in 1962, continuing her education in Mobile, Alabama where she attended beautician school. Joann enjoyed growing flowers, reading, and dancing. She loved her family and especially enjoyed camping and boating with them. She was a member of the 2nd Baptist Church in Pasadena, Tx.
Services for Mrs. Baker will be 2:00 p.m., Monday, December 1, 2008 at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gerald Hilley officiating. Interment will follow at Linney Cemetery.
Mrs. Williams was preceded in death by her grandparents: John and Missouri Baker, Otis and Pearl Cooper, Waldo and Virgie Mason; step-father: Charlie Ed Price and her great-nephew: Chase Siebert. She is survived by her husband Danny Williams of Deer Park, TX; her mother: Mildred Price of Baytown, TX; her father: Arthur Baker and wife Leatrice from Meridian, Mississippi; her sons: Ty Wotipka and wife Tracy of Deer Park, TX and Ryan Williams and wife Silver of Deer Park, TX; her granddaughter: Rylee Shea Williams of Deer Park, TX; her sisters: Linda McCafferty and husband Chris of Meridian, Mississippi, Janice Racca and husband Bob of Baytown, TX, Fain Addington and husband Gene of Dayton, TX and Renee Byrne of Spring, TX; her brothers: James Baker and wife Joyce of Jackson, Mississippi, Eddie Price and wife Christy of Pearland,TX, and Rodney Price and wife Kathy of Brenham, TX; also numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
