Ms. Hodges, 93, died of heart failure Friday, Nov. 14, 2008, at Greenwood Leflore Hospital.
Ms. Hodges, a homemaker, was a member of Bethel Christian Church where she served on the Mothers' Board and the Christian Women Fellowship. She loved quilting and canning in preparation of her favorite meal, greens and cornbread.
She is survived by her son, Robert Hodges of Coila; her daughter, Frankie Mae Hodges of Coila; two sisters, Leola Blackmon of Coila and Corine Stewart of Chicago; two brothers, Vance Green of Coila and Guy Lee Green of Chicago; 19 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation is from 1 to 6 p.m. Friday at Century Funeral Home.
The Rev. Robert Cartlidge will officiate at the services. Pallbearers will be Jessie Holmes, Lorenzo Lawrence, Charles Branch, David Thomas, Henry Brooks and Henry Day. Honorary pallbearers are the trustees of Bethel Christian Church.
Century Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Burial will be in Mount Pleasant Church Cemetery in Black Hawk.
