Mrs. Vondora Hill DeLoach, known affectionally as "Vonda", age 68, died after a courageous struggle with cancer on Friday, Oct. 31, 2008, at her home.

Vonda was born in Dixie County, Florida, on June 16, 1940, and attended elementary school in Old Town. She attended high school in Perry, FL, and Savannah, GA, where she lived most of her life. She was a beautician,owned her own shop,and enjoyed working with residents of John Wesley Retirement Villa. She was a member of Savannah Christian Church. Vonda will be remembered by her family and many friends for her outgoing and vibrant personality and her ability to see humor in almost anything. Her father, Edward Ralph Hill, preceded her in death.

Survivors include her husband, Barron Elbridge DeLoach of Savannah; mother, Ruby Estelle Hill of Perry, FL; sisters, Marjorie Catherine Hill Bullard of Orange, FL, Marie Elena Hill Wright of Steinhatchee, FL, Sandra June Hill Forehand of Perry, FL, and Reitzel Shandra Hill Roberts of Chattahoochee, FL; brothers, Kermit Stacey Hill of Perry, FL, Terrence Copeland Hill of Halletsville, TX and Gilbert Ralph Hill of Tifton, GA.

Vonda was entombed at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Savannah on November 2.
