OBITUARY: Milam Lewis, 90, formerly of Little Creek passed away Monday, November 3, 2008 in Mountain Ridge Wellness Center in Black Mountain. A native of Yancey County, N.C. she was a daughter of the late Goldman and Sue Emma Bradford Lewis. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Arvil Lewis. Surviving are a daughter: Barbara Trotter and husband, Jerry; 4 grandchildren: Brenda Greene and husband, James, Kathy Whittington and husband, Bobby, Rebecca Bridges and husband, Perry, and Jerry Wayne Trotter and wife, Darla, all of Slayden, TN; a special niece: Kathy Rhymer of Marion and several other nieces and nephews; 11 great grandchildren and 13 great-great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday in the Chapel of Holcombe Brothers Funeral Home. Rev. Bill Mitchell will officiate.
Burial will be in the Arvil Lewis Cemetery on Little Creek.
