Lola Elizabeth Hanson, 76

Mrs. Lola Elizabeth Hanson, age 76, of 144 Smith Hollow Rd., Church Hill passed away Monday, October 6, 2008 at the Wellmont Holston Valley Hospital & Medical Center following a brief illness.

Mrs. Hanson was born in Rosman , North Carolina and had lived in Jefferson City, Tn. Before moving to Church Hill in 1960. She was a retired Nurse from the Holston Valley Hospital and was a member of the McPheeters Bend Baptist Church.

She is preceded in death by her parents, George & Ansula Galloway Dodson.

Survivors include her husband, John L. Hanson of the home, Daughter and son-in-law, Patricia & Jim Mann of Mount Carmel, Daughter and future husband, Robin L. Click & Tim Marsh of Church Hill. Son, Charles Michael Hanson of Church Hill. Grandchildren, David Mann of Mount Carmel, Karen Mann and future husband, Travis Lyon both of Kingsport, Heather Click Collins and husband, Kevin Collins of Mount Carmel and Sarah Click of Church Hill. Brother, John C. Dodson of Panama City, Fla. Several Nieces and Nephews.

Calling hours are from 5 to 7 pm Tuesday at the Johnson Funeral Home and anytime at the residence.

Funeral services will be conducted 7 pm Tuesday at the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mark Roberts and Rev. Joe Snapp officiating.

Graveside services will be conducted 11 am Wednesday at the Church Hill Memory Gardens. Pallbearers will be David Mann, Travis Lyon, Carl Arnold, Jr., Wayne Epps, Gene Shoemaker, Greg Sturgill, Jon Summey, Jack Wells.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the McPheeters Bend Baptist Church.
