Fred Gleason,
Old Resident
Passed Away on June 3th

Fred Gleason, a resident of Mitchell county for more than forty years, and one of the substantial farmers of the community, passed away at the Dellage hospital Tuesday morning after an illness of several months.

Mr. Gleason was a much liked and respected citizen, and had a large part in the development of the community in which he lived. He has been ailing for about a year, and consequently he rented his farm, although he continued to live in the residence.

Alfred Gleason was born in April 1860 in Wisconsin and died June 13, 1922. He was married in 1882 to Sarah Egan, and they lived on their farm eight miles northwest of Osage, where they raised their family of three sons and two daughters, all of whom survive him and are John Gleason of Minneapolis, William Gleason of Fuston, S.D., Charles Gleason of Osage, and Mrs Walter Grapp of Aberdeen, S.D. and Mrs James DeLaney of Osage.

Funeral services will be held tomorrow morning at 9:30 o'clock at the Sacred Heart church and interment made in the Catholic cemetery.
