Funeral Service For
Miss Bernice Searcy

Funeral Services for the late Miss Bernice Louise Searcy were conducted by the Rev. Earl R. Keating Thursday afternoon at 3:00 o'clock at the Geren-Leadinghaus Mortuary. Interment was in the Mount Vista cemetery.
Mr. C. O. Orr sang two hymns as solos and Mrs. Walter Lafferty sang a hymn. The floral offerings were beautiful and profuse.
Bernice Searcy was born in Golconda, Illinois, February 3, 1910, and departed this life February 11, 1943.
With her parents, brothers and sisters, she moved to Alamogordo in 1920 and has made her home here for the past 23 years.
The deceased was a member of the Baptist Church of Alamogordo. She had been in poor health for some 25 years.
She is survived by her father, Theodore Searcy; two sisters, Miss Edna Searcy of Alamogordo, and Mrs. Mary Polk of Hatch; two brothers, Robert and Henry of Alamogordo. Her mother preceded her in death by nearly six years. One sister passed away a number of years ago in Illinois.
